“LE PENNE DI NELLO”
Dalla collezione di Nello
>>>COLUMBUS 130 <<<
The 130 series was introduced by Columbus as a new top model in 1946 [1] when production resumed from the factory in Via Lamarmora in Milan. The new pen was the result of a total stylistic revolution compared to the pre-war production, and we note its clear inspiration from the Eversharp Skyline and the adherence to the new stylistic canons that required rounded shapes.
Although the similarity of the clip and the cap is evident, the 130 series cannot be considered a simple imitation, demonstrating, thanks also to the decorations on the caseback, a completely original style. The pen, which remained in production until the late 1950s, [2] probably represents the most significant model produced by Columbus throughout the postwar period.
